About The AquaFun Family
AquaFun Boat Rentals and Tours was founded in 2013 by lifelong Lake Murray resident Ken Jones and his wife, Sharon. Starting out with a small fleet of of rental pontoon boats and jet skis, this family business quickly set the bar for customer service on the lake, ensuring that each guest had an amazing experience on Lake Murray, becoming part of the family.
Though the Jones' passion for the lake, and hard work over several years,
they enjoyed continual growth to their family run business.
AqauFun Boat Rental is also more than just a family run business. The
Jones' are truly members of the community, putting time, efforts, and resources behind causes and organizations that they feel share the same family values as they hold dear.
Ken and Sharon are involved in many events around the Lake, including Lake Murray Boat Parade and the Reggae Fest, but they also take lead in other initiatives like beach cleanups and other concerns. In 2018, Ken turned his Wacky Wednesday Sandy Beach Party into a season long fundraiser, collecting over $16,000, in 2018, for Homeless No More, an organization who's mission is to help fight childhood homelessness.
The Jones' are truly passionate about "Lake Life" and sharing the experience with guests!
In 2021, Kenneth Jones Jr took over majority ownership. He continues the tradition of great customer service.
